Today I had to do the "what my daddy does for a living" gig at my kids Kindergarten. So I packed the mini and some fun pedals and set up and played for the kids, and talked about gear ;D They had a BALL! I showed them my echo pedal and how to make it sound like a spaceship (Ibanez AD80) rocked out with the FF2 and Hellbilly. Showed them how to make jet airplane noises with my Foxrox thru zero flanger and showed them some "underwater" sounds with the foxrox and deja-vibe. Each kid had a go of working the wha pedal. They loved the funk stuff and especially the rock sounds! I like the next gereration. ;D Fun gig, not everyday you see a Dr Z in a Kindergarten!

Will the kids be tested over that material?
Surprised you didn't take in the Rt 66!

My second grade students get to see my Mini alot, since I teach them music every Thursday. They much prefer it to my acoustic, because when playing the Mini I just have to break out the occasional classic rock riff. ;D Kiddos love rock guitar.

Dude, that is the coolest thing EVER.
I WISH I could make a living playing music- being "show & tell" for my (future) kid would be icing on the cake!

Well, I'm not sure I'm making a living...more like surviving. ;D which is fine when you're single but when you have a family it tends to feel a bit selfish sometimes. But no one's starving yet.

yeah, I did the whole "survivng" thing for many years. Then I got married & bought a house. A fixer-upper no less. Hopefully, someday, my life will be simplified enough to be in a band again, for the pure love of it. I DO miss it.

I could see my Dad trying to make painting a door look exciting! I guess afterward having the kiddies watch the paint dry would have been good for nap time!
