I just put my Weber Mini Mass with my Mini Z and it's great. When my wife and kid are home I switch the MiniMass on, when they leave I by-pass the MiniMass. Try it you'll like it!

Just got my minimass today...and I wish to say - Ted Weber is a really good dude... he took the time to answer my questions AND suggested the appropriate equipment (not necessarily the most expensive either).
I'm using a Swart 6v6 a/b'd with my maz 38, and the gentlemen in the band coerced me into getting an attenuator on the 6v6...even the drummer complained.
By the way, I asked Ted about a foot controller for his attenuators...sounds like he's R&D'ing it!

Does anyone have the link to the mini-mass website. I have searched and can't seem to find it. It sounds like a good option for me as 3 o'clock on the Mini Z when my wife is home is too loud! Also, how much is a new Mini-mass?

Thanks for the link! Are you guys using the 25 watt version? I heard/read they have 10, 25, 50, 100 watt versions. Does it matter which one is used? Also, the Mini Weber is 8 ohms, right?
Thanks!

I'm using the 50 Watt so I can use it with more powerful amps. I believe the Mini only comes in 25 or 50. The MiniMASS can switch between 4, 8, or 16 ohms. Check out the description and manual on the web site. Also, Ted is very responsive, so you could email or call him if you have specific questions we don't have answers for.

Man, I never FOUND something that sucked tone so bad as a Mini Mass.
Maybe it's just me.
Airbrake is 1000 times better.

It's a lot of fun airbraking a blackface vibrochamp, especially if you're driving a pair of 12" Jensens @ 4 Ohms. mmmm. Sorta on topic...carry on....

Yeah - I've really noticed the same thing; i've been using it with a Fender Pro Junior, and while it's great to be able to crank it, it just really sucks up the tone when at bedroom levels (louder than that it does sound a lot more transparent). It is a lot cheaper than the Airbrake - I guess it really depends on what you're using it for whether it's worth it the difference in price or not. -edited to clarify what I was trying to say
