Does anyone know if I change the tubes out on the Mini head if I will need to get this rebiased? I see the other Dr Z amps are self biasing but there is no manuals up for the Mini. Also, can anyone recommend a tube that will give me some more clean headroom?
Thanks.

No biasing is needed since there is only one power tube.

Thanks.....
I am pretty lame when it comes to electronics. Any ideas for a cleaner tube?

There are new production preamp tubes or NOS. Which way do you wanna go? There are 12AX7´s with less gain. The next tube downstairs would be a 5751. Mike from KCA can suggest you other tubes. I have some NOS 12AX7´s (Brimar, Mazda). They give me a bit more clean headroom than maybe the Ruby´s. Hope this helps.

Substitute the 12AX7 with a 12AU7 and your amp will stay cleaner longer.

On Dr Z's web site it says that all of his EL84 amps are self biasing and never need to be biased
