I installed my new Brakelite last week, played a little through it,just to be sure worked, then had to go out of town for the rest of the week. I got back and fired things up and...nothing.Maybe just a whisper of sound that the ringing strings overpowered. I pulled it out and plugged the amp up normally and it's working fine. I can't imagine I did something wrong,as it doesn't get any simpler. Anyone else experience this? I've been home with sick children all week,so I haven't been able to return it,but I'll call them today and see what's up. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I actually did experience this. In my case a little work with my DMM revealed a defective phone plug. I cut it off, wired a new one on there, and it's been fine ever since. I'm sure the Doc would have fixed it but I had a good quality plug sitting here, so I just did it myself. But you may want to contact your dealer - maybe he has another you can swap for.

Thanks,Benttop! I thought about snooping around a bit,but it was expensive enough and new enough that I don't want to eat it if they decide it was "tampered with". It is worth seeing if all the contacts are making it,though.

Well,I checked with my dealer today, and they didn't think I had it hooked up right. Despite the fact that it has only an in and an out, both clearly marked. Despite the fact that I said it worked one day and not the next. As I he came to the phone I heard him complain about being interrupted because he had a customer "right in front of him" Once I assured him the amp worked after I took the 'brake out,he's got another one for me. I just can't wait to see him! Oh well, thanks for listening! I'm sure I'll be jammin in my "inside voice" tommorrow evening. Thanks all!

Dealers are people too - sometimes they get overstressed and it comes out. But it sounds like he's doing the right thing anyway, so there you go.

I must say, they were cool when I came back in. They plugged up a new one to make sure it worked, apologized for the trouble and I was on my way. This one kills! I see what the buzz is about. I wasn't blown away the first time, but now I see that that one wasn't right to begin with.I'm running mine on 3 at the moment and I feel like I'm getting more distortion now that before. Fun stuff! And worth every penny!
