Does the RXes do rock and blues well or should I go with a kt45 or route 66? Thank for any help.

I've found it does them great! Just ask Tracii Guns, he picked up a few RXESes a while back and was using them on tour. It's not a classic blues sound, but it'll work. What types of tones are you going after though?

My main gig is Church, but when I play out it's blues and country. I love the Brad Paisley style, but not proficient at it. When I play out, it's blues and country that I can pull off the solos.
I get a beautiful blues tone with an RXES, Brakelite, Route 66 pedal and an EH Echo 1. Basically come real close to Clapton's tone on his Eric Clapton and Friends DVD from 1999. The one with Cheryl Crow, Mary J Blige, Dylan, etc.
The RXES is a little more than I need for about 85% of my venues but I'll always have enough clean headroom. I've NEVER had an amp respond to pedals like this one. After a painful and extensive search, the Route 66 OD/Comp pedal just did it for me.

Thanks for the help. I have a maz38 I am just looking for somthing to go with it. IMO, I'd go with something not EL-84 based, since you already have that covered.

That's good advice. I just need to get somewhere to listen to some different z's.
