Have you ever had an itch you just couldn't scratch? Lately I've been into alot of old bands (Hendrix, Zeppelin, Trower, Thin Lizzy) that make use of the old Plexi's. My Maz 18 is an awesome amp, but its just not a plexi. I also tried that new pedal Caitlinbread DLS. It got me closer to the sound but no dice. So I started looking for Mini Plexi heads, thats when I read that Dr. Z just came up with the Remedy. I then phoned my local dealer and they said a Remedy head was coming in Friday. Talk about fate! Anyway, I tried one this morning and couldn't pay for it fast enough. Awesome amp!!!! And I think a super price, I've checked out a few other Plexi style heads and they're usually around $3000. So good deal.
Having the opportunity to play at home. I can say the amp is fantastic with my Les Pauls and has some real mojo's with my strat. Anyone have the chance should definitely check it out, or if you sure your looking for that Plexi tone just order one.
Sorry if this sounds like an infomercial, but I'm just stoked!

That's the truth! I've been lusting for that sound for 40 years and I finally have an amp that sounds like that without having to resort to pedals and other hokum. It's the real deal!

I've compared my Remedy, head to head, playing straight through each, and into the same old Marshall 4x12, against a couple of old 50 watt Plexi's, and a JMP-45.
The Remedy is right there with those great old amps. To my ears, it was almost identical to my JMP, which is a GREAT old amp.
The Remedy is "good for what ails ya"!!
