Spent a bit of time previewing backing tracks tonight. Since I can't hear pitch any more, I like to bring the good ones into an editor and run a spectrum analysis on the bass part to catch the key and maybe any funny changes I can't hear. Just to be sure. So I just grabbed my Strat and switched on the Remedy. Turned the volume to about 1 o'clock, left the Airbrak on 4 clicks, and left all the tone controls dimed - that's where they were, why bother them? So I start playing along with the first track, and I'm digging the track, but wow, the guitar is really sounding good! Played that track out, and brought up the next and THAT track was perfect for the tones I was getting. Lots of sustain, real woody tone, with plenty of harmonic content - very violinish. And a gob of dynamic potential - dig in for a bit of hair, or play soft for nice fat clean tones. I dug it so much I played that track several times. That one's getting recorded for sure.

Steve:
Both Vols at 1? I gotta spend some time with the Remedy this weekend so I can be ready to gig with it. Appears you've been having a blast with the Rem and the MAZ.
Love the pic of your stacked Remedy/MAZ. Assume the Headbone gets put on the floor when you're actually plugged in!

And you're right - it's a fun amp, in the same class as the Maz Jr in that regard. FUN FUN FUN! I had the Headbone sitting on top - if you look close at that pic you can see it on the right forward edge with a guitar cord going in the side. I had the RX Jr's footswitch running the switching from out front.

Now that's a sweet looking rig, but it would go a lot faster if your strat was red Steve. I think I need a Remedy sitting on top of my RXES with a 2x12 open back with 2 greens underneath the whole thing. It's on the cards this year, only a matter of time. My 76 RI Explorer will love me for it. ;D

Got that one from Curt, and I think I still owe him something for that one since I've kept it but he's traded away my trade to him. I'll make it up to him one of these days. ;D
