Hi yall. I'm thinking of spending some bucks on a weber 12" Blue dog (Anilco). I want flexibility though, because I will try in 1x12, or in a 2x12 w/a g12h, running through my Mazerati or my Z28.
Will my Mazerati blow a 30 watt speaker. Do I need to get the 50 watt version? If so, will I be missing out on something when being drivin by only 20 watts in the Z28?
Thanks for the thoughts.

I used an alnico blue dog for a while with a 60 watt Alessandro head and never had a problem (very nice speaker btw). I also wasn't cranking the amp or driving the front end too hard.. mostly clean stuff.
Stu at Fat Sound recommended a G12H30 (another 30w speaker) for my 'rati when I ordered it. Z ships the Mazerati 1x12" combo with a Vintage 30 (60w), G12H30 (30w) or a Greenback (25w) as the stock speaker.. so I'd say your probably safe.
I think I read on this forum, though, that someone blew out a Red Fang (also 30w I think) with their Mazerati.. so it may be luck of the draw.. but I doubt Z would be putting 30 or even 25w speakers in this amp if he felt they couldn't handle it.

Thanks - after doing some research on other boards, it seemed that most didn't think it mattered. So I'll probably go with the 50 watt one just to be safe.
