I have a Marshall 425 A cab loaded with 4 celestion g12 c speakers rated at 25 watts each these are the same speakers that are in the JH100 cab Marshall made for the Jimi Hendrix signature amp.
I was wondering If anyone has tried the Remedy through a 4/12 with these type of speakers or how anyone would think this amp would sound like through it?
Just from everything I have read about the Remedy I already know It is a amp I would love. I just need to find out what the best cab would be for it most people I have talked to have recommended the Z best cab. I also would consider a 1/12 cab just for easier transportation reasons . Lugging around the 4/12 is a real pain!
Thanks for all your advise and help guys.

Are you kidding me? Aaaaaaah dude you own it!!!! It will sound UnF'ing real!!!! Not me but Jaguarguy plays his through a EVH 4x12 with 20watt EVH Blackback aka 20 watt greenbacks. I own the same cab and my RxJr takes one a whole new personality through it. Heck with 15 watts I'm barely getting any speaker beak up. I have no real need for a 50/25watt amp right now, but I sure as hell want one just to screw with my long time friend/jam buddy that wishes he could get his SLP100 to sound like my rigs. HAHAHAHA!!!! A Remedy would just screw with his mind and make him turn up to stupid levels and then sell his Marshall heads. Glad I have what I have on order but I could have bought a Remedy and a new G&L for the price of one guitar. 3 months from now ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D DAVE

I'm sure it will sound great. I don't notice a lot of speaker sensitivity in the amp. It sounds great through most everything I plug it into. Last weekend I played it through an Alnico Tone Tubby and a G12-65. Sounded great! The clip I recorded in the Sounds section was done through a Celestion Alnico Gold. Sounded great. When I got the Remedy, I tried it on my Z-Best - sounded great. Notice a trend?

You're welcome. I probably wouldn't play it that bright, but soon as I post a clip, someone else says "what about if everything is dimed" and I'm going back, so I'm starting to just dime everything at least once on every amp clip I do.

[/quote Steve thanks for posting that clip and comment about the brightness factor. I noticed it was very bright compared to my Marshall 50 watt MK11 Plexi however it still sounded very good and actually more articulate then my Marshall. I am down to two guitars both Hendrix Strats one has custom shop 69's the other has fralin woodstock 69's in them and they are a little bit on the bright side mainly the axe with the fralins in it I had them overwound like 3 times! So that is a important factor for me in how the amp sounds as long as that brightness can be managed everything is cool. I hardly ever dime my Plexi so it makes sense to me why the Remedy sounded so bright in the clip. Even though it was bright it still sounded very organic and rich you could still hear your technique and the guitar clearly throughout the clip. Thanks again Steve

Thanks again Steve I'll do another this week with it set the way I think I would use it in a recording "project" so that you can get the flavor of the amp. It IS very organic, and there is a LOT of adjustment from where that was set.

Dr Zed and Phil thanks for the repsonse on the speaker The g12-65. What is that speaker like in comparison to the vintage 30? Is it warmer Brighter? I like that Classic old school rock tone I am not a big fan of the Celestion GT1275 that is a harsh speaker IMHO. I know that the Vintage 30 is loud. I play mostly like Hendrix Style Gospel blues and funk. I like the warmth of the greenbacks. Thanks faze
