I love the amp but when I go from playing my Maz Jr for a stretch and then to the Mini I find it is a little flat. I use an ext speaker most of the time and it sounds great and i know the amps are very different animals just wondering if say a Barber EQ would give me a little more low end or less mids etc.

I don't use an EQ, nor do I have a Mini, but wouldn't a Boost pedal w/ treble and bass knobs help? I have a RC booster that helps me with my 3-5 watt Blackheart, even though it has bass mid and treble knobs.

The RC booster is an excellent choice.

Just got a Mini, and I see your point. My ghia is brighter and more clear, even with tone knob at 12:00. I could see how some EQ could be used to tweek the tone. And the tone gets darker with each click of the attunuator. I like the amp, just some observations.

I ended up getting a Barber B-Q (older unit no mid) and it makes all the difference in the world. Really like it.
