The Remedy has a solid state rectifier, is this mandatory due to the half power functionality? The point is probably moot, based on how much everyone loves it as it is, but just wondering if it is possible to run a tube rec and if so which one. I looked for this info in the other posts but could not find anything.

While I haven't taken the chassis out to look inside, the ss rectifier appears to be inside the chassis. There is no external socket. I think it is a moot point. I haven't looked inside yet as it will take away my time to "play" it... but I will be getting around to that soon just because.
Also with the half power (as I haven't been able to fool around with it much at full power yet) personally I wouldn't want more "sag" or the earlier break-up a Tube rectifier may bring. It's great or as close to perfect to my ears.
Best answer I can muster up.
