I believe I have #15. What a great amp! I've got to agree with all the positive things that have been written about the Remedy, and thanks for selling me on this amp from the get-go. I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but it appears there's no place to hide with this amp. Solid playing is rewarded, and based on personal experience, I've discovered that mistakes are pointed out with incredible clarity!
I agree that the tone controls are exactly as someone here described - more of a fine tuning type control. I haven't messed with the half/full power switch since I brought it home, but in the store the tone did seem to stay pretty much the same, just at a higher volume.
I did make one mistake when buying this amp. I plugged it into a Z Best at the store. "Incredible" doesn't quite describe it. We've got two outdoor gigs this summer, and I don't know if I can avoid buying a Z Best for those gigs. An absolute wall of tone with the Remedy.
I've got three cabs at home, and I have to pick one for our gig tomorrow night. I've got a Z convertible 2x10, an open back Z 1x12, and a Mesa 3/4 closed back 1x12. The gig is at a small club (I think it might hold 100-150 people). I'm leaning toward the 2x10. Tight low end, good punch, and good output for a room that size. Besides, it matches the Remedy. ;D
Thanks for building such a great amp, Doc!
Edited to add:
All of my cabs seem to prefer the 40 watt setting for clean chording with humbuckers. On the 20 watt setting, my cabs break up with the Hi Volume around 10:00 when playing chords. Haven't tried any single coils yet. Tomorrow nights gig should tell me a lot.
