I just got this 2x10 senior today. It came to Montana all the way from Florida. Everything looks in tack and no visible damage to it at all. It was packed SUPER good. But the reverb does not work. It made a long and COLD trip here . I replaced the tubes (reverb) and wiggled the reverb tank jacks and still nothing. Is there any way to trouble shoot the reverb tank itself?? I have not taken it out yet but was wondering if during the extreme cold trip here if maybe the springs could have broken or??? Thnks cheycaster

Save yourself some trouble and put a new tank in there Chey....9 times outa 10 its a really small wire broken off from the rca plugs to the input or output transducer, you can strip it and solder it back but you'd prolly do well just to get a new 'un.

I'm with Buddy. They're generally easy to fix, but you can pick up a new one from www.mojomusicalsupply.com/index.asp. Most tanks are under $30.00. Then fix the old one if you can, and you have a spare. Harold

Thanks boyz. I think it is the "blue" one alright. Them wires are TINY!!! I dig this amp!! It has the 2x10 Z speakers with beam blockers in it. I think I even like it better than my Junior.....

Trouble shooting reverb; is, those tanks are really small at 1000 yards.

OK. I checked the wires at the plugs, looked inside the verb tank, used another set of hook up cables, and nothing still. Then I took the reverb bag/tank out of my 2001 Maz Junior and hooked it up and VIOLA, it worked! BUT, it started to humm and sounded like it was starting to feedback. Now the Maz Senior I just got has a short reverb tank inside of it where as my Junior has a long tank inside of it. Do you think that the length of the reverb tanks could cause this feedback in the Senior? Many thanks cheycaster

When I get feedback with reverb it was usually a tube. Check the V3 Reverb Driver and V4 Reverb Recovery tubes. V3 should be a 12AT7 V4 should be a 12AX7WA Try that.

My reverb level has gradually dropped off, and now is completely gone. I recently did a full set of replacement tubes, as the reverb was fading, but no change. I'll also check some alternate tubes, and other cables connecting it to the amp, but wonder how to test the reverb tank itself.
I have a volt/ohm meter and wonder if there is a reading I should look for when testing the contacts in the reverb tank.
thanks, Dave

Hmmmm. Kinda sounds like mine in a way. I'm thinking it may be something more than just the tank. I suspect that the solder connection at the "blue" RCA input jack may have broken in the sub cold trip here. When I put my Juniors long tank in it sounded wierd and not right unless there is a big difference in reverb tanks and how they are. I would hope that would be case for me then just changing out the tank for the right model would be easy.
