Ok so I'm wondering which Dr Z amp is the best for clean sounds. Now I'm not thinking of any particular style, just great clean tone, say like a 60's fender twin or better.
I had a listen to the Maz 38 & the stangray clips & I've got to say that through my crappy computer speakers I can't tell the difference & the reviews for all the amps are good, so..can anyone give me any clues.
Why are the 6L6 tubes not used in any of the amps, I thought they were good in clean amps?

I am wondering the same about everything you mentioned.

KT45 through a set of Weber C12CA would get you close to a Twin.

A Maz 38 could go toe to toe with a Pro Reverb for clean. With some super efficient speakers you could approach Twin levels. Z does have the Galaxie with 6L6s. Z has another 6L6 amp in the works called the Evan or EZG 40/50. I'd guess it will be his next amp to be introduced.

Yeah cool I just had a look at the Galaxie, a few more sound clips might come in handy.
The maz 38 looks like a good amp though, cheers ;D

I think the Maz amps are fantastic. I have a Sr and a Jr. They are really great.

I can get a great clean sound from my Maz Sr. head and 1x12 cab loaded with a Weber C12CA. Not quite fender twin clean, but it is very nice. I tried it today with my Strat and it sounded great.
