I have seen reviews of it on HC but I can't find anything that says what makes it different from a Maz 38 Sr. It has two inputs, Master, Volume, Bass, Mids, Treble, presence, reverb and an effects loop that has no level control. It has 4, 8, and 16ohm outs and a fixed power cord.
I have a line on getting one and I love the way it sounds. Just trying to figure out where it fits in the Dr's family. I am thinking this may be one of the early versions as I have read about the send/return having level controls on both.
Any thoughts? I will be surrendering my Galaxie head to do this deal but this amp has much more the sound I am looking for. Just want to know what I am getting into.
Thanks, Ubertone

Maz studio lead is a very favorite amp af Buddy Whittington ,They are usually 1x12 configuration and there's a presence control instead of a cut thats found on newer maz's. My friend has one and he swears by it. I beleive and i could be wrong these were produced in earley 2000.There are a lot of knowledable musicians on this web site and i'am sure someone will give you even more info.In any case you can't go wrong with any Z amp.

The deal I am/was working was setup through a third person and I was finally able to talk to the owner of the amp who said he talked to Dr. Z himself about it. It is indeed an early version of the Maz 38 Sr and has the presence instead of the cut. Based on what he told me, Dr Z. preferred the presence control but a lot of people were asking for a cut so he switched it over on the "later" models.
It sounds great and thats all I really care about ;D

The circuit is a little different, the main difference being the negative feedback presence control verses the non negative feedback cut control.
