I just received my MazSr head from fellow forum member Madison. It arrived in its flight case and in perfect condition. The only confusing thing about it is the fact that it's power and standby are in opposite positions from my existing MazSr. Not a big deal I guess.
Anyway... I became the new owner of this head because Madison and I did a trade. A flawless, no complications trade I might add. He was very easy to deal with. Communication both on this, and another forum site and by phone, was incredible. He's a cool guy.
So I hook the new head up the same way I use to run my Maz and my Route 66 together through a stereo Marshall cab. It's even better than the Maz/66 rig. This is one awesome rig now. Not that it wasn't before. I love these heads (MazSr). So much, that I gave up my new Galaxie. It just wasn't for me. If it had master volume it would have been but unfortunately it didn't and I didn't want to futz around with Dr. Z's design. His amps are set up the way he sets them up for a reason. If he thought it would have been better with a master volume, the amp would have had one on it right out of the box.
Well, just wanted to share my joy of stereo MazSrs. I cannot wait to be able to crank this beast of a rig.

I used to a/b a Dual Showman Reverb head and a Marshall 1987X reissue head into a stock JCM800 4x12 cab. It was great. I think your dual Maz rig would really be smokin'!

I have the stock 75s in the Marshall. I am either going to change out those speakers or keep the cab stock and grab a Zbest. Are there any stereo cabs made by Z. I imagine I could ask for one to be made that way.
Yes - the stereo 38 rig does scream. Oh yeah... it sounds awesome too!!!

Hey Bill, thanks for the kind words, everything back atcha! I got the Maz Sr from McGriff420 who is equally cool to deal with...you don't have to look far to find many good and trustworthy folks around this forum. ;D
Glad you're enjoying the dual 38 setup, wow...never thought of that, sure it sounds incredible. On my end, definitely having fun with the Gal!

Cool Bill, I'm glad you're enjoying the Gal'. I liked it enough but I just really missed the master volume. Even more than I had expected.
The stereo MazSr rig I have here is just out of sight. Basically it's exactly what would think... a smoking Maz with all that tone, power, and versatility... X2. It is just crazy how good it sounds. I seriously have trouble getting caught up in it until someone either knocks or calls to get my attention. This afternoon I was on a "Jimi" high for about an hour - non stop - seriously!!! It was just stupid fun. I'm not the best guitarist but I have been at it for a long time and I just simply have soooo much fun it makes me laugh to myself at times.
I'm actually thinking about another Maz. That would just be friggin' dynamite!!!
Later, Bill (bilbal)
