Got the 38 head today. Just as oustanding as my 38 combo. I'll be listing the 38 and 18 combo's on the BS&T shortly.

I got the reverb head. I just like reverb. I hardly ever use effects. Maybe a wah-wah, or a Freq boost. It sounds just as good as the combo, and much lighter. The Maz 38 is my favorite by far. I'm going to use it Saturday night along with my Ghia head. Thanks for asking.

Congrat on the new Maz 38 head Bill. I'm still not sure as to the combo or the head. What was the dividing factor for you? Also, I'm looking forward to the Maz 38 listing. Please fill free to PM me on your price.

James, I forgot all about it. I have my wife's sister and husband are in from San Diego. We picked them up last night and got to bed late. What was the score? My sons( he's 15 like Toms triplets) band is going to open up for us. They play System of a Down and stuff like that. Tonight I'll be palying with my friend Ben. We have been doing the duo with the drum machine for the last 14 years or so. We do all kinds of stuff from Surf to Beatles, to John Hiatt and some originals. We could always use your cool solos with you Tele on our songs. See you next year. My son is already planning to come.

Congrats on the Maz. I haven't been playing mine as I've really been trying to break in my Ghia, but I fired it up about a week ago and fell in love with it all over again.
I found I've been using the low input lately and really dig it.

Mine has arrived also! LOVE IT! Best amp I ever had without competition. It's a blond MAZ38NR. As a reference, I've owned Koch, Bogner, Elmwood among others. The Z slays them! Unlike "heynewguy" I really like to use pedals so I'm going to front mine with a Trailer Trash-board consisting of a Musicom Lab switchingsystem, Strobostomp tuner, Emma compressor, Boss T-wah, Xotic RC, Xotic BB, Zendrive, T-rex tremolo, Boss Vibrato, Boss RCE-10 chorus, T-rex Replica and finally a T-rex Roomster!

Bill, That's a great Z-rig you've got there! I love my SR NR head. The first time I played one it blew me away. I swore that through a Z-Best it sounded better than any Twin Reverb I'd ever heard- my previous "gold standard" clean amp. I knew I had to have it. I *love* my JR NR too, but the sophistication and complexity the SR has is so seductive. Happy playing!!

BTW...those of you who were waiting to see if I would like this head and offered to take it off my hands if I didn't, will have to keep on looking! We will keep looking, and you will too... for that 2nd Z... ummm, maybe 3rd too? Glad you liked it, that should be a great amp for you... The Maz SR is my all time favorite!!
