How does the Remedy compare to the Dr's other amps in terms of sustain and natural compression? I love the compression/bloom of the Ghia and Mazerati...I expect it wont be like those due to the 6v6s instead of EL84s but for some reason I feel like I need to know

don't let the fact that the Remedy has a SS rectifier fool you...it has a great percussive feel, but is not "stiff" in a bad way at all. Actually, fans of the Ghia and Maz will love the Remedy. It's got that same "broken in right out of the box" feel and playability. Its sustain is great, nearly up there with the Mazerati GT and RxES/Jr. It's a very touch responsive, player friendly amp.

I never meant 'stiff' in a bad way...I've had one of these puppies on order since the date they were announced. I have plenty of tube amps with SS recs and none of them are stiff in a bad way ;D Keith

No problem Keith.
There's more to the "stiffness" or quickness to an amp than just the rectifier too... witness the RxJr, which has the percussiveness of it's big brother but using a 5Y3 rectifier!

RC, Next time up if I have time to spare I'll bring my Remedy.
Crazy as it sounds, the Remedy 'plays' a lot like a Ghia or Mazarati IMO. I've been playing those 3 back to back to back for a few weeks now and that is what I hear/feel.
It has great sustain, I think due to being harmonically rich..the tones bounce off each other and a note can ring for a good bit, even with the volume quite low, the only Z I have played that did that better was a Delta 88.
Way impressive amp.
