Okay, this is gonna sound pretty stupid, but, other than power tube wear is there any harm that could come from leaving my MAZ-38 on all night? I accidentally did so last night (I'd flipped it to standyby, heard a kid crying and ran to investigate. I just plum forgot to turn it off), so it was on for about 12 or 14 hours. Thoughts? Assurances?
Thanks!
Dave

As long as it was on standby, all you did was keep the tubes lit all night, as the there is no plate voltage or heavy current flow in the tubes, just filament power which lights the tubes. Now don't do it again!

Whew! Thanks! I didn't know if, by leaving it on for so long, I was endangering some component of it or not.

Some stereo guys leave their amps on almost all the time. Remember also that some amp builders burn in their new amps by leaving them on from a day or so. Bottom line, except for some tube wear you are fine.

no harm done. Dr.Z amps are built like tanks. All the compnents, such as transformers are super duty. If it was on stand by no issues.
