my 1st z has arrived ....2 hrs later ......i am going to have to stick to 1 guitar for awhile until i figure this out a bit... any help on the controls to get srv and little wing and dif tones especially the cut control....black tolex with tan salt and pepper.... the g& l with dmarzio single vintage blues and a hot rail loves it as does the prs dragon 2's......the efffects loop took the boss tu 2 mxr 90 sparkle drive and holy grail in stride but after a while i did not feel like it needed any of it .. it was more the adequate all on its own.....now if i can just take to heartthat saying that i keep hearing here. i just need to shut up and play...while gas gets us more stuff it certainly hasn't made me a better player..... i am stoked............tks for the earlier info on the rev vs nr thread.... i made the right choice.........jaamz2

Congrats on the Sr! It's one fine amp. Good choice on the cab too with the Z-Best. Personally, I'd stay away from the loop. It's non active so it will suck a bit of your tone.
Settings are usually Cut = 10am, Bass = 8am, Treble = between 10am and 12pm depending on the guitar, Mid = 12pm to 1pm (depending on guitar), Master Vol = 9am, Volume = Between 10am and 12pm (depending on how much breakup I want).
I also use a Z-Brake. Mostly always set to #3,4 or bedroom setting depending on situation.
Now you'll have to trade that bassman in for a Carmen Ghia! ;-)

I just got my Maz 38 Senior 2x12 combo. I'm really digging it, but I do have to goose it with an Electro Harmonix LPB-1 clean boost to get the best tones from mine. Clean settings are easy to dial in, but the overdrive tones need some goosing. When you get it humming, though, it's pretty amazing. I am dying to use this thing with a band, but I'm not in one currently. I just think the overdrive tone would sit perfectly with a band.
