As you face the back of the Maz Sr, what are the proper positions of the preamp tubes (12ax7's and 12at7's) to right of the four EL-84's? Are these tubes interchangable? I had a 12at7 go down during a gig and all I had was a 12ax7 to replace it. It changed the tone a little but otherwise seemed to work.Is the the tube listing on the DR's site showing the tube positions as you face the front of the amp?

Hey Stratosphere, See this link below for great tube info for your interchangable question. Note: the Maz w/reverb has more tubes than the NR. Tube V1 is on the left viewing from the back of the amp. drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=Maz38&action=display&thread=1124948344read from left to right

I think it depends (right/left) on if it's a head or combo on the MAZ series, easy way is V-1 is closest to the imput counting upwards as you work toward the power tubes.

Hey Curt, You're right thanks for chiming in. Thinking back to our Maz Sr combo the tubes are opposite than my Sr head. Stratophere another way to look at it, V1 is furthest from the 4 'el84' tubes.
