I received shipment of a new RX JR today. This is my first tube amp. I would appreciate any tips on proper break-in, maintenance, etc.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and the Rx Jr club. I just got done playing my ASAT thru mine and love it. There is a lot of info on here to be found as well as info to be given by posting questions like this so feel free to ask anything. There are a lot of maintenance tips, but re the tube part of the amp the most important thing to remember is they are glass, and they get hot. Allow them to cool before handling them or moving the amp (tearing down after a gig, moving it from it's location for some reason while on). Also, make sure the speaker is always connected. If you haven't already scroll back and look at the questions re this amp (or any of the other amps) or "Ask the Experts". There are tons of knowledgeable folks here. Now tell us the details - combo? color? speaker type?

...what Steve said... and... When turning a tube amp on, it's good to let it warm up a few moments before taking it off stand-by. From experience, (but not w/ one of my Z's) hot tubes don't do well w/ cold BEvERages spilled on them. ;D Welcome to the Forum! There are many wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful people here. And congratulations on the RXJr purchase. I often feel it is my favorite amp. There are some great tones in that little thing; and it's much louder than one would think being only rated at 15 watts. Good luck!
