I like the big bottle sound and want to know if a) JJ KT77 tubes will drop right in no problems, and b) if anyone has experienced this swap. I could use a little more horsepower, girth.
I am real happy with my preamp side (v1-5) Telefunken x7, Telefunken x7, Phillips JANt7, Rogers 7025, RCAx7 black plate. My treble is always at 10 with this config. and some times I wish I had a little extra, but the tone is amazing...woody with a slight plexi character. My master is full up (10) and volume almost all up (8-9).

No dice. Besides some inevitable circuitry compatability problems, the power tube sockets in the Maz38 are designed to take little EL84's, not any of the big bottle tubes.

Treble at 10, as in all the way up? Man, that'll part your hair!
