you can either turn the master down, or try an airbrake. (or use a pedal.) Good luck and may the force be with you.

BW speak truth. Turn your volume control high, treble and cut low, mid in the middle, bass low, master really low. Should be rocking at bedroom volume now. These amps have a great master volume. Very easy to get whatever tone you want at almost any volume

just a note about this. i went to the extremes with my 38 2/12 combo to get it to sound crunchy at low volumes. i would never have thought this out, but saw someone else talk about it here. you put the bass all the way up, mid all the way up. treble all the way off, then adjust the cut to where it sounds good. about midway. the bass all the way up and the mid all theway up is what works here i think.

What extremes did you go to? And did you get the crunch you was lookin' for? Or was the EQ the answer? Just curious DougG

sorry took so long to follow up on this. by extremes i meant that i was really slow to trying different eq's with z amps. i usually put them all on about 12 oclock then adjust them. i didnt find the crunch i liked till i turned the bass all the way up and the mids all the way up and the treble down. i wouldnt normally turn the treble all the way down, hence the term "extreme". i also had groove tube "4's" in there that had lower breakup and lower wattage weber speakers. a lot of factors involved i geuss, than just "stock".

Thanks for the follow up on that cementman There seems to be more than one way to skin a kat. It's cool to hear how people go about getting the sounds that they are looking to create. DougG

not to beat a dead horse but the Maz takes pedals very well too. You can get just about any kind of crunch imaginable.
