Finally got delivery of my Maz-38 head and 2x12 cab a few weeks ago (ordered it in February, and very excitedly took delivery of it in mid-June). I haven't been able to play it all that much (just moved into a new house during the same time period), so the amp has maybe only 5 to 10 hours of play on it. Anyway, after playing it for about an hour today, it began hissing very loudly. Had never hissed before this, and it hisses regardless of whether a guitar is plugged into it or not (I've tried turning off lights, plugging it in to other outlets, seeing if there's anything that could be causing interference - and none of it seems to help). Even when you turn the volume or master volume knob all the way down (leaving the other side up), the hissing can still be heard. I really hope it's something minor - any ideas?
Thanks!

Forgot to mention that the hissing is a constant tone/level - it doesn't rise and fall (except when I turn the volume up and down).
Thanks! Dave

Okay, thanks to the good Dr, we seem to have taken care of the hiss. Strangely enough, it wasn't V1 or V2. After running through some other potential causes, at his suggestion, I tightened the four bolts on the bottom holding (I'm assuming) the chassis in the head cabinet. One was pretty loose. Tightening took care of the hiss. Problem solved. I am very pleased that it was something so simply (but still, strangely odd - not sure why that would be causing the hiss, but hey, I'll take it).
I'll just say that this is one of the great things with this company - what other company would the founder be emailing with someone on a holiday weekend to take care of a problem?
Thanks to celestion101 for your suggestion, too!
