Thanks for the Karma! Hot Rail. I may hafta try the other sometime.
I don't know what the difference is from the "Studio Lead" and the "Super Lead". My "Studio Lead" has a presence knob instead of the cut knob, and I think the reverb tank is situated differently than the Sr.
Oh yeah...back atcha...

Fair question. I'll bet there's fellas here that could answer that without lookin'.
Better yet....when it's time to switch 'em, what should I use?

Hey, Frethog, some karma for the pedal mix there too. I like the $300.00 Zendrive and Timmy with the $15.00 Tuna Melt on the same board. A player after my own heart!

I bought all those new so, the Zen was half that, and the Timmy was a steal at $90 The Klon is overpriced new, but I’ll never sell it (I almost promise… ;D). The Quicksilver is the real bling-bling here at $400 new , and the Micro-Vibe has been replaced with a Retro-Sonic Chorus That Tuna Melt is a surprising little dude. I’d like someone to re-house it for me so it will last forever (and ‘cause it’s ugly as sin…). It sure sticks out like a sore thumb; you’re not the first to mention it, but that's a great sounding pedal that does the job.

Hey Frethog, is that a cool rails or a hot rails in the bridge? I bought a new Cool Rails off ebay this week that I'll try in a few days. I think I might prefer the notch position with a bridge pickup closer in DC resistance to the Fralins. I'll have to update you on how that works out. Update: I installed the Cool Rail tonight and it sounds great. I should have done that initially. The Hot Rail was too bold and bright through the Z without at least moderate gain. I can use the CR completely clean and the notch position has better definition and quack than the HR did. Now I need to replace (at least) the HFS on my PRS. That pickup sounds good with a lot of overdrive, but I play clean as often as not.

My current chorus is an ancient baby blue DOD FX60 two knobber that I bought for $15.00 about 6 months ago. I've had a couple of these over the years and tried this one in FRONT of everything a few months back and it was Trower in a box. Just as cool as the Magicboy or MoFaux at 1/10th the price. Unfortunately, MY Zen DID cost me $300.00, but I'm hopeful that Analog Mike will soon get to me on the KoT list and I'll be in for a comarative $235.00 bargain. I DO have the only existing Jauernig Dual Diabolical Gristle tone Manipulator. No 1. Greg Koch has or will have number 2...

Met Koch last Saturday and he said he decided not to buy one. S o I think I own the ONLY DDGTM!
Incidentally, Greg's board was surprising. A 20 year old Boss digital delay, a Boss tuner, Tim's Gristle King... and a Digitech Jimi Hendrix. Go figure...
I may have also said this before, but my small board now has an early 70s Jax/Shin-Ei wah in front of it... damn thing sounds like a million bucks. I may have to sell the Clyd and buy another one of these for the festival board...
