Well, my my maz 38 head arrived yesterday, 2 mos to the day I ordered it up.....
Have not had much time to dig in, but, so far with my les paul,.... .WOWSA!.......I am very happy!!!! I don't have the adjectives to describe what is so amazing about this tone...........but, lets just say that all the advice I got from the forum and all of the rave reviews describing this amp were 100% confirmed for me in merely minutes.........and I have not even really played it yet!............3D tone.........and I went with the NR model........and I cannot believe how much I do not miss the verb. I used to be a devoted reverb user.........I just don't need it with all the "swirl" this amp provides.......
......I never thought I could have such great tone..............cannot wait to really get close with this amp as I know its gonna be my main "squeeze" for a while. I really appreciate all of the advice I got and all the help from my Z brothers..........thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just as Arun was saying in the general board, this forum is such a gift!!!!! We are all really lucky to have it............

Awesome James! I am sure you couldn't stop smiling when you flipped the standby on the Maz38. ;D Here is some karma for the new Z. I am still waiting on my Maz38, but it should get here end of April, beginning of May(cross my fingers). I can't wait. Do me a favor,.......crank that sucker up and bang out an ole power chord just for me, okay? I am going to try and live vicariously through you for one strum.

Hey, Arun......thx for the Karma! and, when you get a chance, fire up the 'Ray, slide into an E 9th from the 6th to seventh frets, and let it ring 'till it fades....and just as its about to wane........cap it off with a nice bluesy lick......cuz I am living vicariously through you having that stingray 2 x 12.......

Congrats on the new senior, sounds like you got a lot of groooooovin ahead. Still waiting on my first Z (Jr) should be in next week. Once she’s warmed up, I’ll face west and see how far junior can travel. Stay tuned.

.............gonna use either the z best or the single 1x12 cab that came with it.....depending on the room.......I cannot believe how good the single 12 sounds. I always thought they were so "in your face" one directional.......but, like the z best, the 1 x 12 is balanced so that the tone just spreads out evenly..........3 d like..........my rt 66 is at my uncle's....but I cannot wait to get it and try it through the single 12...........I went with the G12H.....the "cone cry" just sounds like Rock And Roll to my ears...........but, I can see how it would be irritating if you did not want it to be present..............
sharp that 9th tele62! Man, I wish I lived closer to some of you and I could check out some of your gigs............not a lot of Z's being gigged around.....a few, but, not "Z Nuff".........
Yes, it has been a good couple of weeks in Z'Ville"....!

Congrats on the new Maz Sr! I think it's one of those amps where the "honeymoon" never wears off. Mine's at the store but I can't pick it up till Monday! I looks like Monday is Z day for me... PDW

Thanks for the karma, guys! I got a black NR head to go with my black MAZ 18 NR and black Z-Best. It's a full day by the time I drive to the Z dealer, pick up the amp and drive home, but it's worth it. I don't like to ship amps any more than I have to.

Congrats on a great choice and a great amp. The Honeymoon really does never wear off. I actually play mine in a large church with the master dimed and the volume at 3 o'clock or higher. Man this thing has one gorgeous natural overdrive sound. Life is strange. They tell you to turn down in the bars, and crank it in church. Go figure!
