A while back I traded a mint '68 Pro Reverb (basically a blackface) plus a little cash for my Maz 38 Sr 2X12. I loved the Pro and hated to lose it, but I'd been hearing about these amps with the big Z on the front for a while and thought they looked really cool; and I decided I had to have one. Without ever playing one, I decided that this particular model would best suit my needs and found a guy who had two and wanted to trade. After swapping out the Eminence Legend speakers for a Weber Blue Dog Alnico and an Eminence Red Fang, I've been in amp heaven! I'm so happy with the sound that I've actually stopped trying out new amps!....at least for now. The funny thing is that I've been playing for 43 years, have always been a Fender nut, have own every 60's blackface model they made at one time or another, and now no longer own a single Fender amp! I've got a Carr Rambler, which is pretty close , but I'm just hooked on my Z. Thanks Doc!

I've had my MAZ SR head and ZBEST for a little over a year now and I'm still discovering what a fantastic amp this is. It does so many things very well and still has its own sonic identity. You made a great choice!!
