The RxJr I have comming has a single Blue in it. Amp 15 watts speaker 15 watts. No big deal, but wonder about the speaker flabbing out at cranked volumes.
I have been seriously wanting a 4x10 ever sense I started looking at the Z-28, but held off. So a 4x10 is on my list, but I have been thinking about a tring out a 2x12 with blues first.
I know which one I'm leaning toward right now, but just wondered what you guys think.
Anyone try two blues with RxJr and have experience with a 4x10?

I'm running the one C-Blue with an RXJr and the speaker handles cranked volumes just fine. Be ready for the speaker to sound a bit bright until it breaks in and then it is GREAT! I'm betting you'll love it with about 25 hours on it.

dave, i have a z 2/10 cab, but i also used to have a 4/10 28 combo, even though i know the blues would sound great, i think i would go with a 4/10 cab with the rxjr, it would sound huge. i have a 2/12 cab with celestion v30 and the g1230 that i run with the 2/10 cab, and i just dont think it has enough highs i like with this amp. 4/10s would get that.

I don't have two blues, but my Rx Jr is running through an open back 2x12 with one celestian blue and one G12H-30, and it's a really great mix. Very Percusive and very clean with lots of power! But I'm sure that 2 blues would be equally awesome.

I can't wait to break it in an run it together with my C-Blue convertible on gigs tht are outside or bigger venues. Glad to hear it's a good combination.

I use a Z 2-12 open-back with a Weber blue alnico and a Weber silver alnico and love them. The silver compliments the blue nicely and helps me get back some of the low-end that the blue lacks. Plus, compared to Celestions, they're inexpensive. I've also heard a single Celestion gold goes well despite the 50w power handling.

I have no experience w/ the Z 10" speakers. That said, I like 10" speakers. I think a 4X10 sounds "bigger" then a 2X12 (I don't know - more diffuse, rounder, something, it just seems to take up more space).
4X10 cabs are typically more compact and lighter then your average 2X12 cab.
If you end up not being fond of whatever ceramic speaker came in the 4X10, you can always go w/ Jensen alnico (for an American sound) or Weber's Blue Pups (for more of the British alnico sound).
I really like my RXJr through 4X10's

Thanks guys. I'm seriously leaning toward the 2 Blues just because. It's used, the price is fair, and I can always call the dealer and say, "order me a 4x10"
