I unplugged the speaker cable from my MAZ 38, and checked the ohm load of the speakers at the plug. It came up as 3 ohms. To me, this should mean that my speaker cable should be plugged into the 4 ohm jack. It was plugged into the 8 ohm hole. I switched it to the 4 ohm hole, and to me the amp sounds better. It has a 2 Celestion, Blue Bell Speakers in it. My question is, did I do the right thing? Is it suppose to be plugged into the 4 ohm jack, or do I have a problem? Any, and all help will be greatly appreciated.

My Maz 38 2X12 with reverb came with the speakers plugged into the 8 ohms hole. Should I be using the 8 or the 4 hole? How did it change the sound? Raja

My Maz 38 2X12 with reverb came with the speakers plugged into the 8 ohms hole. Should I be using the 8 or the 4 hole? How did it change the sound? Raja Those are probably 16 ohm speakers wired in parallel, so 8 is correct.
