Hi, Welcome to the forum....
I have a Maz 38 SR Reverb Head...I wanted a "studio Deluxe" cause I heard they had more clean headroom and were a little less "agressive[/i ]".... smoother
I think you'll love it....I have read about several players giving them the same kinda praise that they give the "senior"....
I couldn't find a Studio Deluxe like I wanted and found a Maz 38 Senior just like I wanted ...snatched it up! .........found out how to get the most clean head room out of my "Senior"....... I LOVE IT!!!
Buddy Wittington comes to mind with the Studio Deluxe....he used to play one... and I think he just EQ' d it a little differently..... becuse of the lack of the "cut" knob....He had to use a lttle more Treble......
See the "Q FOR BW" thread in the general board of this forum....he talks about it......he say's it's a great amp.....I'd take his word for it!!

Used it last night on the gig. Man, I dragged that amp around with me on airplanes, taxis and buses for YEARS 'til the Senior came out and now IT goes with me (as a head 'cause it travels better) and the Studio Deluxe stays home for local gigs. Takes a lickin' an' keeps on a'kickin'! Still think the Senior is designed for more headroom though.

Too bad ya couldn'ta shot that photo in a...ahem...less 'picturesque' venue. I'm surprised you can see th' AMP for the SMOKE...nice carpet, too. Hope my lungs look bettern'at. Note nearby 7-11 coffee mug and no hunnerd proof 'clown oil' in the immediate area...A little paint on that ol' biscuit board wouldn't hurt none either. A little lipo and Hair Club, an' Dave might let me come play w/ him once in a while!

What are you guy's talkin about? ? that pic looks like that there "Raw-yawl Albert Hall" compared to some of the places I've played before..... ;D I don't even see no "chikin wire"...... Ya know........play'd a fight and a bar breaks out...... and the rednecks usually don't really like the blues.... can you say.........INTESTINAL FORTITUDE!!! I love to really be in the groove (rare, but it happens) ya think your playin a slow blues tune pretty well and you hear....Play some George Strait!!! Don't get me wrong....I respect the man but I'll leave his stuff to him...... Hey, Hey..... the Blues is alright.....!!!!

'Drive New Lexus'(es)...err...'Changed their Sexes' or ya don't git th' gig! Last time I saw George Strait around here live was between innings at the Rangers game.
