Ronnie glad to see your still using the beast , let me know how it turns out . I sure will Dave...it has definitely become my favorite amp...I'm currently using Weber Blue/Silver ceramics which I really like but I still at times wish I had some of that Alnico sweetness mixed in.

Hey Ronnie, imyurhuckleberry is using a Gold and a Weber silverbell together and he says it sounds Great! I'm still using Weber Bluedog and Silverbell alnicos , it's hard to beat , But Greenback's sound good too! Just ask Buddy Whittington. He used my Mazerati when he was here and it sounded amazing with the Greenies!!!

Ronnie I use to be a Alnico freak !!! now they just sound to dang compressed to me . I still have a few , but I just need the spank of the ceramic I guess.

Yeah, I have a Gold in my 1x12 combo, and was using the Silver Bell in my 1x12 ext cab. It sounds amazing, but I recently swapped the Silver out for a Blue in the cab to brighten it up for me a bit. You can't go wrong either way. It comes down to woods, pickups, and pedals then. I'm selling the Silver Bell if you're interested.

I've played 1 gig with the Gold/Weber cer Blue combo and liked it...seems like I now have more low end and sustain for days! 1 Disclaimer though...I also changed output tubes this week so some of the diff might have been the tubes. Got a 4 nighter coming up this week..should have a much better feel for it after that.

Just thought I'd post a follow-up here...I'm still using the Gold/Ceramic Blue combination and loving it! The Gold is starting to break in now and sweeten up a bit...its a great combination(and a LOUD one too )
