Just bought a used 38 Sr. Tubes were packed separateky. Before I mess them up, can anyone give me the phyiscal location of the pre-amp tubes; ie, do they start V1, V2, etc after the power tubes or do the numbers start at the other end? Thanks!

V1 is most close to the input jack. Then comes V2 etc .... then the output tubes.

Thanks Miles! I'm not sure if i have the tubes in the right spot. I thought I did but I am getting a terrible high-pitched feedback (sounds like it may be coming from the reverb circuits) so I'm thinking I have something in the wrong place!
But I LOVE the tone of this amp and this amp really gives me the "touch" response that I have been looking for! I have several Fenders and I just sold a Mesa Lonestar. I thought the Lonestar would give me what I wanted, but I thought it sounded sterile. But the Maz Sr sure lets me use my picking dynamics to make my guitars "speaK"!
Gotta get home so I can check the tube layout.
Thanks again!
