also,, i once owned a 6545,, is the srz 65 the same as the 65 side of the 6545? i dont think the 6545 had a presence though, and is it useful?

It is the same amp. I don't know how usefull it is. I like them to be able to adjust them according the the room. I usually keep them low but for a dead room or dark room. I give it a little more. It's all in preference.

I've had both the 6545 and SRZ-65 (still have that one) and they really are the same amp, but the presence is a very useful addition on the stand alone model. Well, and it seems to me the SRZ has a tad more gain on tap.

I find the presence quite useful, because it adds one more tweakable dimension. I tend to put it down to work with my very bright strat, and bring it up with my H-535.
