I have a cab with a Weber 1225C and I am looking to put one in a matching cab to use together or seperate but to get a different tone that will match well together also. I am very happy with the 1225 and Weber seems like a good choice. Without breaking the bank does anyone have a suggestion? I go for an aggressive sound with a Strat and Paul. Blues/Rock.
Thanks!
Pete

+1 for the Red Fang, also the WGS Veteran 30 which is ridiculously cheap. The two are quite different. Brett

Why not get a weber 1230-55 which is his equivalent to the G12h 30 heritage but for lot less.
If you want Hendrix tone it's there in bucket loads.
What amp do you want to use it with?

I have a 28 as well. I think a G12h30 will be an excellent addition. My 2x12 Marshall 8ohm g12h30 cab sounds very nice with it. I had a weber 12a125(alnico black frame) 30 watter that also had a pretty cool old school late 50's early 60's vibe to it as well. It just depends what kind of tone you are chasing.
Can you name me some influences and I will try to help.

I'm getting great results with the 1225 and I made an identical cab and put a crap speaker in it for now but I figured why not load it with something different and better. I also have a Tonemaster 2X12 with V30's that works well. As far as tone I like SRV/Black Crowes type of raw edge. I use a BB/RC to push it. Even another 1225 would not be bad but I figured it would be fun to add a splash of something else to ofset it. Aside from buying a bunch of speakers this forum is the next best thing. That's how I ended up with the 1225 and I have NO regrets. I like the idea of the 1230-55. I have a Epi Jr for practice and the sample on Webers site is killer with it. That's what I originally made the cabinet for. It's open back BTW.
