Hey, what would be best for the carmen ghia head, an open back 2x12 or open back 2x10 cab (no closed back) I really like Paisley sounds too. I was just wondering if the 18 watts has enough power to break up the 2x12 cab than it would with the 2x10 cab. in the 2x12 i would probably get the blue vox speakers and 2x10, the dr z 10's. or heck, just get the ghia 2x10 combo? What you guys think? Thanks

I think the ghia sounds good thru all those combos its preference and weight I've got a zbest 2x12 and it gets heavy some nights ,I just ordered a ghia head I've already got a rati head I think many heads and cabs give you the most flexibillity it also causes relationship problems

An open back with a Blue and a G12H30, particularly the 55 Hz G12H30 (such as the Scumback SA-12-55) is absolutely great with a Ghia. You get the great sweet chime in the upper mids and treble as well as compression from the Blue, and a more full frequency response especially in the lower mids and bass from the H30, which is very helpful in an open back cab in particular as they can be a little light on the bass. This is a great match in an open back cab to the Ghia's voicing IMO.
