Currently i have an AC-30HH (current production), and a fender Deville
Plans are to scrap the DeVille, keep the AC-30 and to buy the following: Mesa Mark III (found a great price on a head) and then some Dr Z Marshal Plexish amp (bad cat bc-50?)
The progresion in gain should be as follows AC-30, Plexish amp, Dr z, Mesa Mark III
which of the following DR Z amp do you think would fit in the best RXES, Maz 38, Mazerati original (found some1 selling at 850, dont know if thats a good price), Mazerati GT, any other recomendations would be nice

It's hard to go wrong with the RXES. It can do so many types of music ( rock, country blues, etc.) The Mazerati is great as well, just not as versatile IMO. I think I saw that Mazerati online as well. That seems to be a really good deal. I'm sure it sounds great.

The thing is, there are several Dr. Z amps that cover ALL of that ground, such as the RXES. I had a Mesa MK III and my RXES is so much more fun and easier to operate. You can set it up so that when your guitar is at half volume, it has that Vox thang going on - clean chime deluxe. But rotate that knob up a couple and you have that Plexi type crunch going on. And up to full volume and you have soaring overdrive that is pretty hard to beat. Most of Dr. Z's amps respond this way - I picked on the RXES because of your Vox preference for cleans, and your high gain preference at the other end of the spectrum. You really should check one out before you lay out all that dough.

RXES is a great amp. Very versatile and I love mine. Also, for the plexi-ish amp, check out the Route 66.

Yeah, I would check out a couple different amps before you go crazy with a four amp set up.

i gotta vote with these other guys. An Rx an cover a lot of ground. I ditched my Deville for an original strength about 11yrs ago and never looked back. The Es is even more versitile from what i hear. You can get the Vox the Marshall and the high gain things going on with that amp. You might end up loosing the vox in the long run. The only thing you'd miss are the fenderish cleans and those aren't on your list but the doc's cleans are killer in their own right. a lot more open and airy.

Yeah, with the RXES you don't have Fender cleans, but you have Vox cleans. A lot more chime and airier sounding than the Fender cleans.
