Can the speakers be unplugged so as to utilize it as a cab for another Z head?

Just check the impedance of the the speaker out and the cab you wish to use. You are pretty safe to mismatch usually but may lose power or increase distortion because of the output transformer- my experience anyway. Brett

It occured to me. Are we talking about a 4x1o combo or cab in the original thread?
Well, I'll take a wild stab in the dark. Knowing the Z 10" speaker is 16ohm and the Z-28 has only a 4 and 8 ohm output. A 4x10 cab or combo is 4 ohms. You can only make 4 x16 ohm cabs either 4 or 16 ohms
But you can make it a 2 input cab at 8 ohm per input and that was the original question right?

My original thoughts.....could I plug a Ghia head into the speakers of a Z28 4x10 combo.....or just to be able....in the studio...to use a Z28 4x10 just as a cab for other heads??? Do-able or stupid??
