Hi I have a question, hope somebody can help me with some advice, since I got a possibility to get one of the old ones SRZ-65 I want to check if a 1500 may be a good price, I think it may be a little too high for a head but i have seen that these amps get very good reviews and not sure if they are getting more valuable.
Thanks.

Too bad there's not a Kelly Blue Book of music gear - or maybe that's a good thing, come to think of it. I wouldn't have a clue how to evaluate that price. I've seen near new LE models sell for as low as $1200 and as high as $1500, so I think I'd say it's worth what you're willing to pay. Great amp, by the way.

If this answers your question.. I would give you 1500 for it..

FWIW, I wouldn't sell my SRZ-LE for a nickel less than $1500, although I haven't considered selling it.

Thanks, I think it may be a good idea to try to get it, It is one of the old ones and I'm not really sure if it may be too loud, I will need to give it a good test drive. Thanks for your comments!

I don't think it will be too loud for you at all. The Master Volume works really well on the SRZ.

I don't think it will be too loud for you at all. The Master Volume works really well on the SRZ. I'll second that. I've *never* heard a better master volume on an amp. Myles once was telling me how versatile the SRZ was and he said that a lot of times it's as easy as "set the gain to the desired distortion level and set the overall volume with the master." It sounds great at (relatively) low levels.

Hello again, well today I gave it a little test drive, indeed is a very very nice amp, the master works great as some of you already stated so now I need to go trhough the process to decide what to get rid off... man! I hate that part, anyway, I told the owner to please hold it for me for a couple of days just to be sure I have the means to purchase/trade.
It is a very low serial number (under 25 if I recall)it may need some clean up on the pots and the front is very nice wood.
Thanks again for all the inputs and any more information or point of view about putchase it for the mentioned price please feel free writte about it, thanks!!!

Sorry I have not post nothing yet, I'm working with a deal with the owner, so I need to sell a couple of things to raise the money, fortunatelly he is willing to wait a little for that.
Also I give it another test drive to be sure is ok and everything works flawless, very nice wood front, the serial being 20 something means that it was that number made?
As soon as I get it (hope so) I will let you guys know, thanks and any comments or suggestions are very welcome!

Guys you cracked me up... lol! thanks!
I gave the initial payment, I'm selling some stuff to finish paying for it but since economy is so slow I been having hard time to sell even on a very good price, good thing is the person is nice to wait for me.
I been dying to play it again and post some pictures in here, of course is no different than a regular SRZ-65 long head, wood front in great condition, I think beside some scratchy pots and missing the covers on the top of the handle, everything is in great condition.
Thanks for ask!!

Greenbacks are hard to find around here, it has to be a 4x12 because this thing is way loud!, amazing great tone.
Thanks!!

Your going to have to push 4 of the Greenbacks. I had a 2x12 and now I have one with a bad cone, and one just sitting. I replaced them with Hellatones a V30 and a Heritage30. Sound great, but I miss the Greenbacks...

We tried once in a store a old '66 bassman with a 4x12 marshall with greenbacks 25's I think, and wow... the tones were just great, amp very good responsive and great overdrive and the speakers just complemented so good. I hope to get to test it with the greenbacks... the budda phat are sounding really good, when I tried the amp before with a marshall cab (4x12 I think 75's) I was not very sure I liked the sound but a my home I had like it so far.... ;D

Dude!! I know this is an old post, but I have the same exact amp with Reverb!!! Mine is a 96' model. I am the 2nd owner and it has the same mahogony face. This amp has been my Main amp for the last 6 years!!!! I use in conjuction with an old beatup BV style Marshall 4x12 Greenback loaded cab and WOW!!! It delivers!!! I have been offered alot more than $1500.00 for mine but, I wouldn't sell it for anything!!! I'm wanting another amp right now but, I cannot part with my SRZ or My 67' all original Fender Super Reverb!!! How do you go wrong with these kinds of amps!?? You don't! Good luck!!!

That is sooo col muzacman02, the same wood face. I think the reverb must make it more full and one thing for sure, the 25 greenbacks are just a perfect fit for these amps.
I have a couple of superevers too, a '65 and a '66, the cleans out of those amps are incredible, love the 4x10 tone.... I remember I used to have a little marshal 4x10 that I sold, I remember it sounded really good maybe I should have not sold it... well... GAS attack...hehe

Yes Mine is a Reverb Model, It was a custom order deal according to the owner! I just love it and people are always asking the same ole question! When did Zenith Start making Amps! I just LMAOOOOOO!! When they hear it and they think Angus Young is playing, Their jaws drop. I run the Reverb on about 9-10:00 oclock just to give it a lil more depth, I use delay heavily almost all the time so alot of reverb is not needed! I just purchased a 08' 20 year anniversary Stangray Head!! OMG! I may have to part with my Super But, I haven't yet! as long as the wife doesn't complain too much , I will not sell at all, It has been a great amp as well, Hope your smiling ear to ear with your SRZ still , Iam!!!!
