Hi,
Does anyone know where the Dr. Z rectifier notes link is? He posted these notes here on Z-Talk about 1-2 years ago and I cannot find the copy I made.
I have several Z amps and need that information so I can play around with my rectifiers a bit more. You know, the tone thing . . .
Thanks for your time and help, Swampcooler

Yes,
That's the information. Thank yoy very much!
I have a Z-28 with 6L6's (Doc said it would be fine) and a new Carmen Gia. The Z-28 with the 6L6's is very awesome, and depending on the rectifier, there are a lot of tone and headroom options. The notes are what I needed to play it safe.
Thanks again, Swampcooler

If you have enough bias swing voltage and do not mind the transformer mismatch at below 400v of the Z-28 it might be fine. I'd ask the Doc.
