After my RXES has been on for 5 minutes or so, it starts to smell hot. Maybe like something's burning, but not really strong like something's burning. Sorry if that's a bit confusing. But if I'm getting a hot smell out of my amp, is this normal, or is it a sign of a bad tube?

New amps with tubes will smell hot for a while, while everything cooks in. Kind of like when you get a new car and the catalytic converter smokes a bit as the finish cooks.

So nothing to worry about? Just everything warming up and starting to work?

Yup. Even my '69 Super smells hot when cooking and sounding great. Nothing to worry about. You'll be able to tell the difference between burning and hot tubes.
Smoke=bad

When I was growing up, every family gathering there was music. My dad always brought his guitar and amp. I grew up with my face in the back of this amp: So I know the smell of hot tubes, and they always bring a flood of good memories for me. Hot tubes baby!
