Just curious......
I've been using an RXES 1x12 for rhythm and a Maz 18 1x12 for lead. So far, in rehearsal it works pretty well. I'm going to try it at a gig on Friday to see if it's worth hauling around the extra amp and speaker cab.

If I had the money to get two Zs and run two at a gig, they'd be together. Maybe my RXES and a Stangray or Mazerati?

Here's one version of my dual head setup: The THD cab is wired stereo so each head has its own speaker. I use a Radial JX-2 A/B/Y to switch heads. Works great. I use the Stingray for cleans, and either the SRZ, Mazerati GT, or RXES for dirt.

Cool, Thats pretty much what I have. I'm also using 2 airbrakes. I like the stereo cab idea. Are there any sonic benefits instead of using 2 1x12s?

I'm using an RX original strength and an original Mazerati together with one 2x12 cab with Weber Blue Dog alnico and Silverbell alnico and they work great together! Rx-Silverbell ,Mazerati - Bluedog
Two heads and one stereo 2x12 cab ! Not a big fan of the Air Brake besides I don't really need it anyway!

Well the THD cab is unique in that its port is the open back, so it's not just an open back, it's a ported cab. Plenty of girth on the bottom from that cab. But the main reason I did this is to keep my footprint from expanding. AND, the Doc hadn't yet introduced the 1x12 convertible cabs when I did this. Still, it's nice to load in with one cab and be done.

Cool. Sonic benefits aside, two amps look really cool on stage

I have run two, stereo Z rigs since I have gotten into the Dr's gear. The first was a Route 66 / MazSr into a stereo 2x12 1936 Marshall and the second was a dual MazSr rig into the same Marshall. They were both incredible but the dual MazSr rig was my favorite. It cranked!!! I would like to team my RxES up with something. Maybe another MazSr??? Maybe another RxES would be cool too??
Decisions, decisions...

I looking to get a RxEs to do a two amp rig. I want to use the RxEs for cleans and my Ghia for dirt. Right now I use a 74 twin reverb for clean tones but I think the RxEs has a more complex tone even without the reverb. Plus the twin is freakin HEAVY. Does anyone on here use their RxEs for strictly clean tones?

I use my RXES for cleans and my Maz 18 for leads. In the low input, the RXES has a great clean tone. Even in the high input, below 9-10 o'clock, the cleans are nice and full.

With reference to my post above. I think I may have found my ultimate two amp rig. I recently took delivery (finally) of my new Soldano SLO. I'm thinking...use my Prescription ES for all my cleans, and then have the SLO set up with the first channel for crunch/rhythm and the second channel for leads. This way I have 3 fully switchable channels. I can't really ask for much more IMO. It would allow me to use the RxES for nothing but a beautiful clean and then I would also have similar eq for both the crunch and lead tones with the Soldano.
Nice, bilbal

Hey, is anyone using a true stereo two amp rig? I'm thinking about using my MAZ 18 Jr NR in true stereo w/ an incomming RX Jr as the "Y" or through a stereo chorus for added harmonic content. Set them both up to be dirty w/ a cranked G-tar volume knob and back off to a clean w/ hair w/ a twist of the volume knob for cleaner parts.
