If it will suit my needs. We play mostly a Texas/Americana/New Country thing thats pretty driving. I play a Maz Sr with teles and really love it, but you know how the GAS is. The ES might be too loud, but I do have an Airbrake. Do you think this amp will suit this style of tunes, anyone?

For that style, I could see a few of Doc's amps working really well. The Maz, RXES, and Galaxie sound like they would work for that style really well. An RXES is really loud, but with an Airbrake it's extremely versatile. I will say that it won't be that much louder than a Maz Sr., but you don't have post amp volume.
I noticed you have two Mazs, maybe try to trade one for an RXES and see if you like it, if not trade for another Maz Sr. or another amp to run alongside a Maz.

Hey man
I do similar music (new country, Americana) and I love my RXES. Particularly using the lo input with an airbrake. It has the perfect amount of clean chime with some hair on it. I also have a maz 18 that I really like, but the RX has some extra mojo going on.
I don't think you will be disappointed.

I use to run a stereo MazSr rig for awhile. It was amazing. I just bought an RxES yesterday. Up until then, I thought the Maz series was the best amp the Doc offered. I am slowly rethinking that. I have only had the RxES for two days but I already think it's as good as the MazSr's I had. IMO, it takes an incredible amp to make me change my mind about the Maz. I may have found it with the RxES. Go try one out, you'll be very happy you did.

BTW, I agree with what carrjimi said above about the lo input. It's how I use mine as well. I learned that here when I had my Sr's. That along with diming the master and using the volume as your "master" so to speak.

Yeah the RX will fit the bill perfectly. If you decide to get one you won't regret it. I debated on it for a while myself, and when I finally broke down & picked one up I wanted to kick myself for waiting

Yea Man. I've gone through a few amps from other companies. I love my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, but I held out for a very long time and am now the owner of a Red Rxes head and a Red Zbest 2x12 Cab. I can't tell you how amazing that amp is. I play the same kind of style more rockin country. It gets the job done well. I use an airbrake, but am looking into an overdrive pedal to push the amp a bit, because I still got to crank that baby to get the distortion I'm wanting, than it's too loud even with the airbrake. haha. But yea man buy it and never look back. What color are you going to get?
