I ordered a head through Ebay and it arrived damaged. The tolex and wood got a little crunched in the lower left hand corner of the amp. Not sure how to put pics in here. I was just curious if this is something that can be repaired?
thanks, Dante

Set up a hosting site like Photobucket and upload your pics to there. Then you put the img tag in front of and behind the full URL to the image, like this without the spaces: [ img ]fullpathtopic.jpg[ /img ]

Hey Dante You and I on the same page I just emailed Brent the sales manager about what can be done. Those a-holes at ups suck. What did they do throw the box down a flight of stairs? I'm sorry man. P.S. I sold you that amp. My heart is broken.

Well UPS picked up the amp and cab today for an inspection. I talked to them after they picked it up and they said that if they pay the claim they basically buy the item. I know a new shell and fixing the treble knob should be under $500. Big bummer! ( Yeah the treble knob got bent really bad in the transfer. The box appeared to be in great shape. If they put it on it's side the pressure of the 1x12 cab against the rubber feet prob. did this damage. I don't know if I would've let them take it knowing I wouldn't get it back in some shape or form. Anyone have exp. with this.

Yeah!! UPS.........Good Luck!!!!!!! Have you gotten your money back from who you bought it from? or is this your claim? UPS never wants to give back the money you had the item insured for! This is why I don't use them anymore!!!!!

man, you just have to overpack bombproof. it is weird, one time i sent a peavey speaker to a guy and didnt pack it right, it arrived bent up, so i filed a claim and ups just told me to fax them a copy of an invoice showing how much the spkr was worth and they sent me a check, no questions asked BUT anything over a hundred bucks forget it.... i have used ups but i always pack bombproof, basically you are the enemy here. you have to plan way way way ahead if you use them.

Had a friend who bought a AC30 Brian May from a collector. UPS destroyed it pretty bad. Looked like it went down several flights of stairs or something. He wanted to keep it and attempt repair but UPS would only give him what he paid and not the insured or or replacement value. Vox's replacement cabs and such were so outragiously expensive he ended up taking the used purchase price offer from UPS and surrendering the amp.

I use UPS...BUT.... I take it to the "UPS Store" & have THEM pack it... it's guaranteed by them if they pack it... if it gets broken you get full restitution!
