Here's a link to a youtube page where my buddy, Brian Feist, lays it down in a few videos. Brian and I played together quite a bit between 2000 and 2002. He was always switching amps, looking for "the" sound and he always admired my Maz-38 Invasion. I believe he picked up his MAZ-18 from Emerald City Guitars in Seattle sometime in 2005 or 2006. Anyways, here he is... a tasteful player who would probably list Mike Bloomfield as his biggest influence. youtube.com/user/blfmmmand some photos i shot of his band back in March 2008 thefstopshere.zenfolio.com/p719688132

But I didn't see the '58 Les Paul - he was playing a strat the whole way through! Nice job though. Also, nice photos. Those stage shots are the most challenging lighting I think I've ever run up against. I don't think I've managed any that are quite as nice as yours. Thanks for the lesson!

That's some great playing and tones. Both the guitars sound damn good. Thanks!

Thanks for the lesson! thanks for the props on the photos. that's the toughest part about taking live shots is dealing with under-lit situations and also trying to get clear shots without microphones and stands cluttering the images. All the live shots i've taken have been without flash, as i don't want to be too much of a distraction to either the musicians or the audience so i have to have fast lenses. BTW... i looked at your photo work and it's quite nice as well. good work! the les paul is what Brian is playing in the video posted here the lighting is too dark to see very well but it is the les paul.

Under the description on youtube it says the maz 18 is modified. Any clue on whats been done to it ? I was worried someone would ask that. The owner of the amp told me what he did but i forgot (it was during a cell phone conversation while i was browsing at the local video store). All I remember was that he'd replaced most of the tubes but i don't remember the details of what he put in where. I'll see if i can find out...

Not a big deal was just wondering if they were any of the doc's mods he posted on the forum for what it's worth, here's what my friend's response to my email inquiring about the mods: "RCA Blackplate in the 1st pos. JAN GE 5751 in the phase inverter position. RCA tube rectifier. Weber blue dog 30 watt alnico. Different resistor rating in the first gain stage, but I can't remeber what it is."
