Need some help here! May trade my Maz Jr w/verb combo for an ES Jr head. I like to play with a couple guys....not serious, but love good tone. Like the british and americana tones. Like to play ZZ top, Zepp, Chris Isaak, Foo fighters, Petty, AC/DC, Matthew Sweet.....mostly that 80's hair junk, and 90's indie plus some rocka billy. Not a metal head or a speed metal junkie. Making a good decision?

It can cover those bases well. The past couple of days I have been using a Strat with it (I've already concentrated for a few months with a LP and then a Tele) and I have cranked her up and am amazed even more so with what the RxJrS gives without pedals... and how well she cleans up with the guitar volume while still maintaining a nice thickness and punch. You will however need pedals to cover some of the bases, but I'm sure you'll be "wicked impressed" with this amp.
In a nutshell, a great decision and I think you will be glad you did.

Of the bands you listed......my band covers zz, chris I, and petty..........and I do it through a rxjr, a delay, bb preamp, tonker and switch between a les paul and a tele. amazing

Done!!!
Thanks for the feedback!!! From what I have found out since looking into this, is that the RXJR is what I really would like. I thought Stang Ray, but wanted a bit more felxibility. I thought I would always go Z28 and a Mazerati GT. Looking forward to the Jr. I now need to figure out which cabinet to go with it: 1x12, 2x12, Z best......
PS Semaj: I went to USC and I have a very funny shirt regarding Ann arbor!!!

I think it'll be AWESOME!

I just bought James RXJR and will be picking it up at Z Fest. Wow, it might be a while before I get to blast it at home.
