I could go RxJr, MazJr, Z-28, or maybe a GT or RxES.
Keep in mind that the dirty volume would need to be able to sit on top of the clean sound a little bit, but a booster pedal could be used if needed.

DAVE I use my Z 28 2x10 combo with a Galaxie 1x12 combo. Sounds nice too me. Because the Galaxie is a two channel amp, I don't use any other stomp boxes except a T-Rex Tremolo. I like the 2nd channel for lead tones. For me they work well together. Cheers, Richard P.S. Just two pedals. A footswitch & tremolo <a

Wow, you know I never thought of a Galaxie. They kinda seam to be under the radar, but the idea seams to be right on. My eye for stuff keeps going up and up but I've seen them used. This also kinda cures the only worry of not having the Mesa. That is what if I need more power. Not likely but I have done jams that required the Mesa cranked and I can tell you the Z-28 is loud but not like that. H'mmm Galaxie? I'm all over the place. DAVE
