This is really a question and not a negative comment. Why don't I see Dr Z ads in all the typical Guitar magazines? i.e. Guitar Player, Premier Guitar, etc? Most all the higher end amp companies run some ads to get their name out there. Does Dr Z rely on word of mouth only and his incredible reputation? Just curious. Also, I like to clip out some of the add and frame them for showing off my favorite equipment. ;D Thanks

Dr. Z doesn't need to advertise to sell all he can make. So the question is, why would he want to spend money on advertisements when he can sell everything he manufactures? Word of mouth seems to be working pretty well so far.

That's what I thought, but I never realized it until recently becoming a Dr Z convert. That alone says volumes about the quality of Dr Z products. Beside, now he can use all that saved advertizing money for buying gas ...
Thanks

He usually runs a small ad in GP and Vintage Guitar. The one with the Z28 and the BMW.

Come to think of it, I don't have a subscription presently to Vintage Guitar, but I do recall seeing Dr Z in there. Thanks the replies.

It's been a long time since I had a Vintage Guitar subscription too - maybe time to get that one again.

Every few years, when I trek to the New Nited States, I try to get to a Barnes & Noble and buy a Vintage Guitar magazine. I did that last week, and didn't see a Dr. Z ad in it, but on the back cover, make'n'music has a full page ad with a Z amp & cab among the dozen or so amps pictured.
It takes me about three weeks to read all the stuff in Vintage Guitar. I wish they didn't want so much for a subscription(international). The one I bought has a great story and interview with Stevie Winwood, and one with Tom Principato.
Have a great day!

I've never seen a Dr. Z Amps ad anywhere, but I have seen smart dealers with nice photo ads of Dr. Z amps in Vintage Guitar and a couple of others. I also see ads where the smart dealers have Dr. Z Amps in text prominently displayed.

Look for a 1/2 page color ad in Vintage Guitar next month. It will run through the January 09 issue.

Well and with a guy like Paisley slapping Z's out in front like he does.....go figure. Even the guys I know that are musicians that don't do country know what he plays thru.
