I have my RXES with me in Southampton , UK on my cruise ship gig and I reckon something aint right with it.I'll do a proper check and all-round tube swap again to be sure. My question is can anyone suggest where/if I can get my head looked at in the UK, preferably locally. It's a US 110v head to make things more complicated. Thx for any advice. Daz

I'm in America and can't help you with locating a tech, but here's some karma for gigging a RXES on a cruise ship!

Well I guess servicing is one of the downsides of using boutique gear.So far no-one says they can look at my amp in the UK, which is surprising.I would think 220-110 step-down transformers would be a pretty common thing.Even I have one for use overseas ,I just don't have it this time seeing as cruise ships run both voltages. Anyway.Shipping the amp 'home' for servicing and back is horrendously expensive so it looks like I'm stuck without my Z this contract. If anyone has any thoughts I'd appreciate it. Cheers. Daz

I'm surprised you can't find anyone. These amps are not hard to understand or service. It seems to me any competent tube amp repair place ought to be able to help you.

It seems the 110v is an issue. What tech's I have been in contact with don't have step down transformers.I'll keep looking. The amp works, it's just low powered and sounds like crap.I was hoping it was a simple case of low wall power ... an issue I had on another ship, but I've seen this voltage tested at 120v.So with similar cases I've read about here I'm thinking it's the transformer. Yay.
