After some days of use I´m really happy with the GT. At home I play the airbrake at bedroom level. No folks at home click to 4 and it´s loud and a lot of fun to play. For the bedroom level I made the experience that the more I go to maximum the sound compresses. I tweaked the knobs and found out that you can dial in nice sounds too if you turn the volume knob on the amp a bit under 9 o´clock. A less compressed sound with enough gain is the result. Hope this helps GT owner´s. A merry christmas to all, Willi.

Thanks for the first Karma Benttop. The GT is such a great amp I couldn´t imagine before. I wanna let you know that I´m a tube tweaker. I put in a NOS rectifier as I want to be safe. I tried 2 NOS 12AX7 (Brimar and Mazda) but went back to the Ruby´s. I think the good Doc knew which tubes work fine with the GT. By the way I use a 1-12 cabinet loaded with a TT alnico. For me it´s a nice combination though I didn´t try other speakers. I will do that in the near future but with my other amps I always came back to the Tone Tubby. Maybe a TT ceramic would be nice too. As I wrote in another thread the airbrake is a very useful tool. If I would have known that earlier I would have less pedals though I only have 4 (Xotic RC, AC, BB and a Jaques delay) which I needed for my MazJr head. With the airbrake and the MazJr now I need one pedal for leads. I didn´t try which one I´ll finally use but I´ll find that out.
